Assault With a Weapon
On Saturday February 27, 2021 at 6:00 in the evening The St. Thomas Police attended an address on Wellington Street after receiving a report of a male involved in a disturbance. Officers arrived to find the a 37 year old male refusing to leave the property. The male had a knife on him and he was threatening people. Nobody was physically hurt. As a result he is facing a series of charges: Uttering threats, Assault with a Weapon and Breach of Probation. The male was transported to the police station and processed for a court appearance.
Break & Enter
On Saturday February 27, 2021 at around 10:30 in the evening the St Thomas Police attended a Talbot Street address after receiving a call that someone had broken into the residence. Officers arrived to find 2 sets of doors had been forced open however the person responsible was no longer there. Persistent investigative work by officers at the scene assisted in tracking down the person who was arrested a short distance away. A 39 year old male was taken into custody and charged with Break & Enter, Mischief, Breach of Court Order and Drug Offences. The male was transported to the police station and processed for a court appearance.
Shortly after midnight Police responded to an alarm to a local business on Talbot Street. It was determined the alarm activated as a result of someone having been inside who decided to leave the establishment.
