Officer from the St. Thomas Police Service have responded to 66 incidents in the last 24 hours. This puts our incident totals up 937 from this time last year.
Thirty one year old Sonny Cloutier of St. Thomas is wanted on a probation warrant for breaching his release conditions. Cloutier is currently at large in the community released by the courts on conditions to attend the Colin McGregor Justice Building before May 15th to submit a DNA sample. Cloutier failed to attend and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
St. Thomas Police Officers attended the market area on Horton Street Thursday night around 9 pm in response to an unconscious male. Narcan was administered by police to a thirty year old male who had overdosed on Fentanyl. The man was transported to St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital by EMS as a precaution.
Thirty nine year old Alan Slauenwhite of St. Thomas was arrested after he was identified as the suspect recorded on security video setting fires inside two separate bank vestibules back on May 14th. Slauenwhite was taken into custody without incident and charged with two counts of Arson. Slauenwhite was additionally charged with Mischief after he was also identified as the suspect recorded on security video pouring pop on the ATM’s inside a third bank vestibule. Slauenwhite was held for a court appearance.
Nineteen year old Nikolas Churchill was arrested Thursday morning after he turned himself in at the Colin McGregor Justice Building. Churchill was wanted on a warrant for Mischief Endangering Life. The warrant was issued after Churchill was identified as the suspect who punched holes in the walls of his rooming house and lit firecrackers aimed into the room of his neighbour. Churchill was taken into custody without incident and later released on an Undertaking with court date.
Twenty four year old Mitchell Sop of St. Thomas is wanted on a warrant for Theft Under $5000. The warrant was issued after Sop was identified as the suspect recorded on security video stealing an Amazon package off the front porch of a residence on Jonas Street back on Saturday May 9th. Police are investigating after a shed behind a home on Moore Street was broken into sometime Wednesday night. Some electronics and power tools were reported stolen.
