Warrant

Forty seven year old James Dionne was arrested Thursday evening after police were called to an attempt theft from the Walmart Store.  Officers on Community Patrol located Dionne a short distance away and discovered he was wanted on two separate warrants one issued by Sarnia Police and one issued by Wellington County OPP.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  Both warrants were executed and Dionne was later released with future court dates.  ^15792

Vehicle Entered

A vehicle parked in the lane way of a home on Wood Street was entered sometime Wednesday night.  $50 worth of loose change was reported stolen.  Please remember to lock your vehicle and take valuables inside.  ^15764

A vehicle parked in the lane way of a home on Myrtle Street was entered sometime Wednesday night.  A twelve pack of beer was reported stolen.

Warrant

A twenty seven year old male was arrested Thursday morning after emergency services were called to a fire in a wooded area off Highway #3 near First Avenue.  When police and fire arrived they discovered a small camp fire had been set by a two homeless individuals.  Officers discovered one male was wanted on a warrant by the London Police Service.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building where he was transferred into the custody of London Police.  ^15822

Warrant

Forty one year old Adam Herr of St. Thomas was arrested Thursday on Talbot Street.  Officers on Community Patrol recognized him as being wanted on a bench warrant.  The warrant was issued after he failed to attend his scheduled court date to answer to charged of Mischief to Property and Resist Arrest.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building where he was held for a court appearance. ^15826

Warrant

A twenty eight year old woman wanted on a bench warrant by the St. Thomas Police Service was arrested Thursday in Simcoe by Norfolk County OPP.  The warrant was issued after the woman failed to attend her scheduled court date to answer to several Fraud related charges.  The charges stem from an incident in the city where she was identified as the suspect recorded on security video using stolen credit cards traced back to a vehicle entry.  She was taken into custody without incident by OPP for processing.  The St. Thomas warrant was executed and she was later released on an Appearance Notice with  court date. ^15840

Traffic Unit

A thirty year old London man was charged with Stunt Driving and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days following a traffic stop on Sunset Drive Thursday afternoon.  Officers from the Traffic Management Unit were monitoring speed in the area when they identified a vehicle travelling 93 km/hr in the posted 50 km/hr zone.  The driver will appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge. ^15823

Theft

A license plate validation sticker has been reported stolen to police.  It is unknown exactly when the sticker went missing but is believed to have been removed sometime between September 8th and 10th while parked in a lot on Wellington Street. ^15856

Break and Enter

Police are investigating after several sheds behind homes along Donker Drive were reported broken into sometime Wednesday overnight.  If you have any information about these break and enters or saw anything suspicious in the area please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or submit a tip online at www.stthomascrimestoppers.ca Refer to case #ST21015863.  A pellet gun is the only item that has been reported stolen from one of the sheds at this time.
