Warrant, Theft, Unlawfully in a Dwelling, Break and Enter, Mischief

Warrant

On September 9th members of the Woodstock Police Service located a 46 year-old female from St. Thomas who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for one count of theft under $5000.  The female was involved in a theft of approximately $1,800.00 worth of merchandise from a local business that occurred on the 21st of July 2021.  The female was released from custody with a future court date.

Updated Photo – Police are investigating after $500 worth of power tools were stolen from the R-Safety Store on Burwell Road Wednesday afternoon.  A male and female were observed by staff stealing two DeWALT  power drills and batteries. The male is described as 6 feet tall, balding wearing a grey t-shirt.  The female is described as heavy set, blonde hair and wearing a backpack. Unlawfully in a Dwelling

A 44 year-old male from St. Thomas was arrested Saturday without incident following an incident on Thursday September 9th.  The male attended the address of an acquaintance and a brief verbal confrontation took place stemming from a previous intimate relationship.  The male was released with a future court date.

Break and Enter

Police are investigating a break and enter to an address in the 100 block of Talbot Street.  Between 5:00p.m. Friday September 10th and 11:00a.m. Saturday September 11th unknown suspect(s) pried open the front door to a commercial office.  While inside the suspect(s) rummaged through contents of the office causing minimal damage.  If you have any information about this crime please contact the STPS or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.  Refer to case ST21015499.

Mischief

A parked vehicle was damaged overnight on Wilson Avenue.  Around 1:00a.m., unknown suspect(s) approached a Chevrolet pickup truck and smashed the driver’s side window then slashed two tires and fled the area.

Theft

Police are investigating the theft of a laptop from a residence on Hiawatha Street.  Sometime between 3:30 p.m. on September 11th and 2:30a.m. September 12th the homeowner reports unknown suspect(s) stole a silver Acer laptop from the property.  If you have any information about this crime please contact the STPS or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.  Refer to case ST21015541.
