Warrant

A St. Thomas man was arrested Saturday morning around 7 am on Talbot Street.  Officers on Community Patrol observed the man and recognized him as being wanted on a committal warrant.  The warrant was issued after the man’s surety revoked their responsibilities to supervise him.  As a result forty year old Craig Scratch was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported directly into the custody of the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre to await a court appearance.

Warrant

A St. Thomas man was arrested after police were called to a disturbance on Elm Street.  Officers recognized the man as being wanted on a probation warrant.   The warrant was issued after the man was alleged to have breached his court ordered release conditions.  As a result thirty six year old Edward Steacy was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing where he was later released on an Undertaking with court date.

Shoplift

Police are investigating after a man walked out the back door of the Shoppers Drug Mart on Talbot Street carrying stolen merchandise.  The incident took place around 3:30 pm on Sunday afternoon.  The man was last seen getting into a red, four door vehicle and leaving the area.   The suspect is described as a male, tall with heavier build, shaggy curly black hair wearing a navy blue coat.  If you have any information about this incident please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS Refer to Case #ST21002634

Vehicle Entry

A vehicle parked in the lane way of a home on Kains Street was entered sometime over the weekend.  A wallet containing identification cards was reported stolen.  Please remember to lock your vehicle and take valuables inside.

Assault

A twenty one year old St. Thomas man was arrested early Monday morning after an assault Sunday night on Talbot Street.   An ongoing verbal dispute between the man and a youth escalated resulting in the youth being attacked by the man.  Serious injuries were sustained by the victim and medical treatment was required.  The man was taken into custody later the same night at his residence and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing.  He was charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm and released on an Undertaking with court date.
