Warrant/Assault/Prohibited Driver


On July 31st, 2020 St Thomas Police arrested a 21 year old Port Stanley resident on an outstanding warrant of committal. The warrant was held by the London Police Service and the male was turned over to their custody and held for court.


A 55 year old St Thomas man is wanted by police for assault after an afternoon incident in the south end of the City. It is alleged that the suspect approached a male on the street who was known to him, began to scream at him and began punching him in the face without provocation. The suspect then fled the area prior to police arriving. A warrant for his arrest is being sought while police continue to look for him.

Suspended Driver 

Shortly after 8pm, an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop in the south end of the City. While speaking with the 36 year old male driver, it was determined he was a prohibited driver under the Criminal Code and a suspended driver under the Highway Traffic Act. As a result the vehicle was impounded for 45 days and the driver released at the scene with a future court date.

Road Safety – Holiday Long Weekend 

St Thomas Police will be conducting traffic enforcement and RIDE programs throughout the course of the holiday long weekend. Drivers are reminded to plan ahead and not drink and drive. Persons caught driving while impaired will be subject to 7 day vehicle impoundment and an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension followed by a court date.
