St. Thomas Police Service media release for Sunday June 28th, 2020

The St. Thomas Police Service has had 65 calls for service in the last 24 hours.

On the 27th day of June 2020 an alert officer observed a 36 year old St. Thomas man associating with a female that he was on a release order not to.  As a result, there is grounds to arrest the male for failing to comply with an undertaking.  The male is still at large.

Later the same day just before 1 PM an alert citizen observed a 41 year old St. Thomas woman steal a bicycle from a downtown apartment building.  Police located the female a short distance away with the stolen bicycle.  The female was arrested and charged with theft under $5000 and released on a future court date.  The bicycle was returned to its owner.

Later in the afternoon just after 5 PM, police received a complaint of a stolen bicycle from a Flora Street residence.  The bicycle is a blue Mongoose BMX style.  Attached is pictures retrieved from a surveillance camera.  Anyone with information is asked to contact St. Thomas Police or Crimestoppers.
