Update to Shots Fired on John Street
Police continue to investigate after shots were fired on the north end of John Street early Thursday morning. Police were notified by a resident living on the street that they heard shots around 6 am. Officers did locate and seize a vehicle with bullet holes through the back window. No injuries were reported and police believe there is no risk to the general public as the incident was targeted. A red and yellow YOYOTA mountain bike was stolen from the lobby of the Grand Central apartment building around 8 am Thursday morning. A forty seven year old St. Thomas woman was arrested Thursday morning around 10 am and charged with one count of Domestic Assault. The charges come after her common law husband reported verbal arguments between the two had escalated and become physical. The reported incidents were historical occurring back in the Fall of 2019. Minor injuries not needing medical attention were reported to police. The woman was taken into custody without incident and later released on an Undertaking with court date.
A twenty year old St. Thomas man was arrested Thursday morning around 11 am after allegedly breaching his probation order. The twenty year old is currently at large in the community released on conditions not to associate or communicate with anyone under the age of 16 years. The man was taken into custody without incident and later released on an Undertaking with Court Date.
A thirty four year old St. Thomas woman was arrested Thursday afternoon around 4 pm. Officers on general patrol observed the woman and recognized her as being wanted on a Probation Warrant. The warrant was issued after the woman allegedly breached her release conditions on several occasions. The woman was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building where she was processed and later released on an Undertaking with court date.
An orange BMX bike has been reported stolen from a home on Englewood Street. The bike is believed to have been taken sometime over the last three or four days. Suspicious Male Arrested
Twenty six year old Justin Dobson was arrested Thursday night around 10;30 pm on Wellington Street. An alert citizen called in a suspicious male in the area. When Officers arrived they located Dobson in breach of his curfew. Dobson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building where he was held for a court appearance. Several pry tools, screwdrivers and a flashlight were seized from Dobson. He is charged with two counts Breach of Probation and one count Possession of Break and Enter Tools.
