Possession of Stolen Property

A fifty one year old St. Thomas man wanted by police was arrested Monday after he turned himself in at the Colin McGregor Building.  The man was wanted after he was identified as the suspect who was observed driving a stolen vehicle.  The vehicle was located parked and the man a short distance away.  He was taken into custody without incident and charged with one count of Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000.  He was later released on an Appearance Notice for court. ^9368

Break and Enter

Police are investigating a break and enter to the Praxair lockers located in front of the Peavy Mart.  Thieves broke the locks sometime Sunday overnight and stole several cannisters from inside. Break and Enter

Mischief

Domestic Assault

A thirty nine year old St. Thomas man was arrested Monday and charged with several domestic related offences.  The man was taken into custody without incident after police were called to a disturbance.  As a result he was charged with Assault with a Weapon, Mischief to Property Under $5000 and Breach of Release Conditions x2. No injuries were reported.  ^9388

Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest

A thirty seven year old male and a thirty year old female both from London were arrested Monday night during a traffic stop.  Officers on Community Patrol took the pair into custody without incident after they discovered the vehicle they were in was stolen. The couple were transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  They were each charged with Possession of Stolen Property.  The man was charged additionally with Drive While Suspended and the female was charged additionally with Obstruct Police after providing a false name at the time of the traffic stop.  The man and woman were both released on Undertakings and will appear in court at a later date. ^9389

Mischief

Mischief

Break and Enter

Stolen Bike

Vehicle Entered

A vehicle parked in the lane way of a home on Metcalfe Street was entered sometime Sunday night.  A wallet containing debit, credit and identification cards was reported stolen.  Please remember to lock your vehicles and take valuables inside.  ^9413

Arrest

A nineteen year old St. Thomas man was arrested Monday night.  The man was wanted by police after he was identified as the suspect seen kicking a fence on Princess Ave breaking the boards.  He was taken into custody without incident  and transported to the Colin McGregor Building where he was charged with one count of Mischief to Property and one count Breach of Release Conditions.  He was later released on an Undertaking with court date.  ^9422

Impaired

A thirty nine year old St. Thomas woman was arrested during a traffic stop Monday night.  Officers on Community Patrol suspected the driver was impaired after she failed a standard field sobriety test.  The driver was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building.  Breath samples taken indicated the woman had almost twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system.  A small quantity of Cannabis edibles and Psilocybin were located inside the vehicle.  As a result the driver was charged with Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drug, Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus, Drug Possession and Have Care and Control of a Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available.  The woman was later released on an Appearance Notice for court. ^9425
