Porch Pirates

Police are investigating after a parcel was stolen from the front porch of a home on Curtis Street near Mary Street sometime Wednesday.  UPS confirmed the delivery around 1:30 pm however the parcel was gone when the owner went to retrieve it around 9 pm.  If you have any information about this theft or saw anything suspicious in the area please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS  Refer to Case #ST20010212

Theft

A purple and black LIV mountain bike was reported stolen from a garage on Daugherty Drive sometime this week.  The owner reports the theft must have occurred sometime during the day when the man door was unlocked as it is secured every night.  If you have any information about this theft, know the whereabouts of the stolen bike or saw anything suspicious in the area please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS  Refer to Case #ST20010215

Assault

Thirty nine year old Allen Slauenwhite of St. Thomas was arrested Thursday night around 8 pm after a random attack on a fifty nine year old man.   The victim was out cutting his front lawn when Slauenwhite allegedly approached and began hitting him with the wooden stake and threatening to kill him.  The victim sustained injuries to his arms and side before escaping to a neighbours home to call 911.  The victim did not know his attacker.  Police located the suspect a short distance away and took him into custody without incident.  He was transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing where he was charged Assault With a Weapon, Uttering Threats to Cause Death and Breach of Release Conditions.  He was held for a court appearance.
