Paramedic/Police Officer Assaulted 

A London man is facing several charges after assaulting a paramedic yesterday.

On Friday November 20th, 2020 Paramedics were called to a residence to assess a 20 year old male. During their patient contact the male assaulted one of the paramedics by punching and kicking them. Paramedics called for emergency assistance and police arrived on scene shortly after.

Upon the arrival of the first officer, the male was told he was under arrest and immediately began charging at and repeatedly trying to punch the officer in the face. The officer deployed a taser, which was successful in apprehending the suspect. Once the accused was handcuffed he then spat on one of the officers.

The paramedic, suspect and police officer suffered minor injuries and were transported to hospital.

As a result, a 20 year old London man is charged with

  • Assault
  • Assault Police x2
  • Resist Arrest

 

Theft of Lottery Tickets from Convenience Store 

Police are looking for a male suspect after a tray of lottery tickets were stolen from a south end convenience store.

On November 20th, 2020 shortly after 9am, a lone male entered the store asking the clerk for bingo tickets. Once the clerk removed the tray, the suspect grabbed it from the clerk and fled the store.

The suspect is described as male, 30-40yrs of age, medium build, wearing a black hoodie, green/black mask, and green camouflaged pants.

 

Theft of Christmas Decorations

St Thomas Police are investigating after several outdoor Christmas lights were were stolen from an Elgin Street residence.

The theft occurred overnight of Thursday November 19th and the lights are described as (9) kaleidoscope style lights. The value of the theft is estimated at $500.

Theft of Generator

Police are looking for information regarding the theft of a red Honda gas-powered generator.

Overnight of Thursday November 19th, 2020, the generator was taken from a north end business that is under construction. The generator was chained to a pole and was cut by the person(s) responsible. Value of the theft is approximately $4000.
