Narcan Administered
Police responded to two 911 calls made on a cell phone from inside an Avon Rd. apartment last night around 6pm.  Dispatchers could hear laboured breathing and eventually spoke to a male on the other end of the call.  Officers arrived on scene a short time later along with EMS and discovered a twenty five year old female had overdosed on fentanyl while using the drug with a male companion.  Narcan was used to reverse the effects of the drug and the female was transported to St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital as a precaution.
Resist Arrest
Twenty Seven year old Robert Catlin RYAN of St. Thomas was arrested last night around midnight.   Officers attempted to stop RYAN after observing him riding one bike down First Avenue and towing a second bike.  RYAN attempted to flee from police but was taken into custody on Miller Street after he lost control of his bike.  RYAN was wanted on a warrant for ten charges including:  one count  Domestic Assault, four counts  Breach of Release Conditions, three counts fail to attend court, one count Possession of Stolen Property, one count Use Forged Document and one count Theft Under $5000.  RYAN was further charged last night with one count Resist Arrest, one count Tresspass by Night and one count of Possession of Break In tools after police located bolt cutters and a glass breaker in his back pack.  RYAN was held in custody at the Colin McGregor Justice Building for Court.
Stolen Jewellery
St. Thomas Police have charged two people from London in connection to a jewellery theft from a St. Thomas home.  The incident began mid December when a furniture delivery was made to a south side residence.  The homeowner did not supervise the movers the entire time they were inside the residence.  Five days later the homeowner discovered four rings and a chain had been stolen from a jewellery box located in the master bedroom.  As a result of investigations by the STPS Street Crimes Unit a man and woman were arrested in London.  Two rings and the chain were recovered by police and returned to the victim.  Jason Aaron DWORATSCHEK 32 years of London is charged with one count Unlawfully in a Dwelling, one count Theft Under $5000 and one count Trafficking Stolen Property.  Jennifer Shirley WOOD 29 years of London is charged with one count Trafficking Stolen Property and one count Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000.  Both parties were released with an Appearance Notice for Court.
A thirty two year old woman from St. Thomas was arrested yesterday during the noon hour by Loss Prevention Officers at Walmart.  The woman was observed inside the store concealing seventy five dollars worth of groceries and left the store making no attempt to pay for the items.  Police attended and charged the woman with one count Theft Under $5000.  She was released on an Appearance Notice for Court.
