On July 28th at approximately 5:00 pm police were called to the rear of the post office at 403 Talbot St. Witnesses on scene reported a woman had been yelling and screaming to herself. They observed the woman punch a Canada Post vehicle and then walk over to a random car and punch it. The woman then proceeded to break the driver’s side mirror and ripped off both windshield wiper blades and threw them on the ground before fleeing. A witness captured photos of the suspect on a cell phone and responding officers were able to identify the woman. On July 29th at 8:05 pm an officer spotted the suspect on Talbot St. 33 year old Frances Forsyth was arrested and transported to police headquarters. She was charged with Mischief and 2 counts of Failing to Comply with Probation. She was subsequently released with a future court date.
Police are investigating the theft of a package from the front porch of a residence on Malakoff St. The package was from Amazon and was delivered on July 28th at 3:00 pm. The package contained a “waterproof” blue tooth speaker. Anyone with information is asked to call STPS at 519-631-1224 or St. Thomas Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Refer to case ST20012516.
On July 30th police in London arrested a woman who had several outstanding warrants with the St. Thomas Police Service. Officers were sent to London to take custody of the 27 year old. She was transported back to St. Thomas where she was held for court.
