Attempted Entry

In the early morning hours of February 26, 2021 an unknown male suspect attempted to pry open the entry door to an Elm Street apartment building.  The suspect is captured on video which will be distributed once it is made available to the St. Thomas Police Service.

Break and Enter to shed

Sometime during the evening of the February 26, 2021 an unknown suspect forced entry to a backyard shed of a Centre Street residence.  It is not believed that any property was stolen.  STPS is reminding residents to report any suspicious activity to police.

Vehicle Entry

During the evening of February 24, 2021 a vehicle was entered in the laneway of a Metcalfe Street home where a wallet was stolen.  A points card was redeemed at a local business for $40.  This matter is still under investigation.  Police are reminding people to lock and remove any valuables from their vehicles.

Failing to comply with release conditions

A 25 year old female was charged with three counts of breaching her release conditions in relation to communication with a former partner.  The female was taken into custody and held for bail.

Driver of stolen vehicle charged

A 40 year male was found operating a stolen vehicle at a local St. Thomas motel parking lot.  The male was subsequently arrested for possession of stolen property under $5000 and taken into custody.  The male was later released from custody with a court appearance date in the near future.
