2012-01-17 - STOP SIGH ENFORCEMENT TRAFFIC PROJECT

St Thomas Police are instituting a new traffic initiative to curb drivers from failing to stop at posted stop signs on Wellington Street. In particular a number of complaints have been received pertaining to drivers failing to stop at Wellington Street and Highview Drive and Wellington Street at Rosethorn Court. Any driver found disobeying the law and failing to bring their vehicle to a full stop at posted stop signs within the city will receive a $ 110.00 provincial offences ticket, and accumulate three demerit points. This could also affect your insurance rates.
