Disturbance leads to Male’s Arrest

At approximately 4:45 PM on June 6, 2012, the St. Thomas Police responded to calls about two men having a verbal disagreement near a Wellington Street address. Upon police arrival, a 65 year old male was found to be intoxicated, and was determined to be the cause of the disturbance. The male was arrested and taken to the police station where he was lodged until sober. The male was also charged under the Liquor Licence Act.

Motorcycle Crash leads to Impaired Charge

At approximately 5:50 PM on June 6, 2012, the St. Thomas Police attended the area of Talbot Street and Metcalfe Street to investigate a motor vehicle accident. Investigation revealed that a 48 year old St. Thomas resident had fallen from his motorcycle, causing the bike to hit 2 parked cars. The male was taken to St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital with minor injuries where he provided breath samples to police. The male was charged with impaired driving released pending a future court date.
