Robbery suspect arrested

On Friday March 30, 2012 St Thomas Police attended at a Talbot Street bank regarding a Robbery.Police say shortly before 1:00AM a male person had withdrawn money from his account at the ATM machine and was exiting the interior lobby when confronted by the suspect who assaulted him and attempted to grab the cash. The victim and a friend who was waiting in a nearby vehicle managed to restrain the suspect until police arrived. Charged with Robbery is Charles Leslie Crafts a 24 year old St Thomas resident.
He was held at police headquarters pending an A.M. court appearance.

Motor vehicle collision

St Thomas Police report, shortly after 12:00PM Thursday March 29, 2012 officers attended a three vehicle collision on Talbot Street just West of Burwell Road. Police say a vehicle driven by an 80 year old male was attempting to turn into the Royal Bank service road when it collided with two other vehicles. Police have charged the male with making an unsafe turn. He was issued a $ 110.00 provincial offences ticket.
