Drug Seizure

Shortly after 7:30PM, Monday February 8, 2010 St Thomas Police, drug enforcement unit, intercepted a drug transaction that occurred at a Flora Street parking lot .
While conducting a search of the suspects, police located 10.5 grams of cocaine, with a street value of $1050.00 .A 20 year St Thomas male , and 23 year old St Thomas female were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking .A motor vehicle used in connection with the drug occurrence was seized , under proceeds of crime.Investigation of the incident resulted in police executing a drug search warrant at a Wolfe Street residence .A search of the premises resulted in police locating 5.2 grams of cocaine, 3.1 grams of magic mushroom, 260.7 grams of cannabis marihuana, 1.2 grams of crystal methamphetamine a quantity of ecstasy pills , and $1103.00 cash .The total street value of the drug seizure was $ 4510.00 Additional charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance , and possession of property obtained by crime has been laid against a 50 year old St Thomas female and 58 year old St Thomas male .
All of the accused were held in custody overnight at police headquarters, awaiting a Tuesday February 9, 2010 court appearance .
