Break and Enter

Police are investigating after two men were recorded on security video stealing from an assisted living facility on Chester Street Tuesday morning around 6:30 am.  The men entered the building through the front door and broke into an office off the lobby.  Three cartons of cigarettes and some mail were reported stolen.  If you recognized either suspect please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS Refer to Case #ST21002712

Arrest

A St. Thomas man was arrested at a store on Edward Street Tuesday around the noon hour after employees called for police.  The man was suspected to have been using illicit drugs after employees noticed he had been in the restroom for an extended period of time.  Police arrived and discovered the man was wanted on a warrant.  He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building.  During processing police seized stolen property from the store and a small amount of Crystal Methamphetamine.  As a result, thirty six year old Jeremy LeBlanc was charged with Theft Under $5000, Drug Possession and Breach of Release Conditions.  He was later released on an Undertaking with court date.

Theft

Police are investigating after rims and tires were stolen from a parked Hyundai Elantra located in a used car sales lot on the east end of Talbot Street near Manor Road.  The theft is believed to have occurred sometime Monday overnight.  If you have any information about this incident or know the whereabouts of the stolen property please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS Refer to Case #ST21002725

Fail to Remain Collision

Police are investigating after an unoccupied vehicle legally parked on the shoulder of Barrie Blvd was damaged Tuesday afternoon.  Security video obtained by police from nearby businesses show a dark coloured pick up truck backing into the parked vehicle.  The car sustained damage to the drivers door and side mirror and pieces of tail light were left behind from the truck.   The driver got out of the truck to assess the damage and left the area.  If you have any information regarding this incident please contact STPS at 519-631-1224 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-TIPS Refer to Case #ST21002730

Shoplift

A twenty nine year old St. Thomas man is wanted by police after he was recorded on store security video stealing from the Real Canadian Superstore Tuesday night around 6 pm.  The suspect placed several items inside reusable shopping bags as he walked through the store eventually heading out the front door without paying.  The man was stopped by Loss Prevention Officers at the entrance however he dropped the bags full of stolen goods and fled the area.

Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest

A St. Thomas man was arrested early Wednesday morning around 3 am during a traffic stop on Alma Street.  Officers on Community Patrol were conducting the traffic stop when they recognized the passenger as being wanted on a Bench Warrant.  The warrant was issued after the man failed to attend his scheduled court date to answer to several drug and theft related charges.  Thirty two year old Justin Caudle was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Justice Building for processing.  He was later released on an Appearance Notice for court.
